P&G's HBCYOU program shows up for HBCU students all year — Back-to-School, Homecoming, the Classic — meeting them with the brands that already run their daily routines. For the 2022 homecoming run, To Be Hosted brought me on to take one of the least glamorous parts of the tailgate and make it a flex: the restroom.
The answer was a luxury restroom trailer wrapped head-to-toe in P&G's home and personal-care portfolio — Charmin, Bounty, Febreze, Always, Secret, Old Spice, Gillette, Dawn — and it rolled straight onto the yard.

The system was a bright brand-tile checkerboard — every P&G household name cut into its own color block and threaded with homecoming iconography: helmets, jerseys, drum lines, pom-poms. Up close it read as a portfolio; from across the lot it read as a party.

One line held the whole thing together — We put the HOME in Homecoming — landed on the back panel and carried Charmin's own “Enjoy the Go” and “Go in Style” so a genuinely premium restroom felt like part of the celebration, not a detour from it.

The crew running the activation got their own kit — a “So Fresh, So Clean” tee, P&G on the front, the homecoming line and a lineup of brand logos on the back.

“We put the HOME in Homecoming.”
A premium restroom, of all things, turned into a brand moment — proof that HBCYOU meets students everywhere, even on the way to the game.
